My name is Kim Burke
As a passionate designer l am constantly striving to improve my work and expand my skillset through discovering new opportunities to grow. Each of my projects - both solo and collaborative - have shaped my interdisciplinary identity and allowed me to establish myself within the design industry.
May 2019 - Current
Over the past year I have interned for Louise Forbes Design, predominantly assisting wood carving workshops, whilst developing my own woodwork skills. Alongside I occasionally manage her design store (Tayberry Gallery) in Perth, co-owned with Sarah Spalding.

BSC PRODUCT DESIGN
Currently in my final year of study at Duncan of Jordanstone (DJCAD) in Dundee. Developing my honours project is my current focus for 2020 degree show. This degree entails a large amount of communication, organisation and design thinking skills.
March 2012 - Feb 2016
As the largest picture framers in Scotland, working in their family run branch in Glasgow, was a very hands-on role. This position entailed producing finished products, such as frames and canvases whilst assisting high volumes of customers. This role held a large amount of responsibility and required great organisation.

SURF CLUB COMMITTEE
Throughout my time at Dundee University I have been an active committee member for Dundee University Surf Club. My role in the club involved enhancing media and marketing to engage members. It also entailed organising club merchandise which in turn has boosted my organisation, collaboration and design skills greatly.
